Ashley is the Founder and Principal lawyer of Ashley Fisch Alliance Immigration Lawyers.
Since being called to the bar, Ashley has practiced exclusively in the areas of Canadian immigration, refugee and citizenship law. She has earned a reputation amongst her clients and colleagues as a meticulous and thoughtful lawyer with a strong commitment to excellence. She brings a client-centred approach to every case she takes on and is renowned for her compassion and her human touch.
Ashley’s broad range of experience encompasses both the processing of temporary and permanent resident applications for individuals and small to medium sized corporations, as well as litigating refusals of a variety of immigration applications. This diverse experience makes Ashley particularly insightful to the unique and tailored needs of each immigration applicant. Ashley is an experienced advocate, appearing regularly before all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada as well as the Federal Court of Canada. Ashley has also recently appeared at the Federal Court of Appeal.
Ashley is actively involved in the profession and the community. She frequently dedicates her time to educating vulnerable communities about the refugee protection process in Canada. In addition, she has guest lectured on administrative law at Toronto Metropolitan University’s department of Politics and Public Administration.
Ashley’s commitment to excellence in the legal profession is recognized by others. In 2016, Ashley won the Elizabeth Grace Emerging Leaders award for her work and leadership in advancing the rights and interests of vulnerable persons who have suffered/or at risk of suffering sexual and/or domestic violence and abuse. In both 2021 and 2023, Canadian Legal Lexpert recognized Ashley as a Lawyer to Watch in the field of Canadian Immigration Law.
